Räsy
Finnish folk music opens the door to the world of Räsy, where community and care create a deep sense of safety. Traditional Finnish rag rugs warm the stage and evoke the feeling of home (räsy meaning ‘rag'). Trust, love, and acceptance lie at the heart of the piece. The journey into adulthood and a new life leads through dark forest paths, where uncertainty and courage walk side by side.
Within the community, the absence of one is felt deeply, leaving behind a quiet, aching sorrow. Yet it is through togetherness that strength is found. In Räsy, the young performers gradually discover their own voices and the courage that comes with them - the power to stand their ground, to set boundaries, and to say no. In moments of hardship, the strength of the community carries everyone forward, offering a place that is always safe to return to.
