AITA/IATA General Assembly 2026
During Louder Together, OPENDOEK welcomes the 42nd General Assembly of AITA/IATA, the international association for amateur theatre. This makes Louder Together not only a meeting place for young theatre-makers and companies from around the world, but also for the international community that helps amateur theatre.
What is AITA/IATA?
AITA/IATA (Association Internationale du Théâtre Amateur/International Amateur Theatre Association) is the global network of organisations that supports and connects amateur theatre. The association brings together national centres from dozens of countries, promotes international collaboration, and organises festivals, meetings and exchanges for theatre-makers around the world.
A delegation from AITA Youth will also be present. They strengthen international exchange among young theatre-makers and give the voice of a new generation a place within the AITA/IATA network.
The General Assembly (GA) is AITA/IATA's annual members' meeting. Representatives from member countries come together to make decisions about the organisation's activities, future festivals and international collaborations. At the same time, it is a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences and strengthen the global network.
